Enrollment process & continuous enrollment

Holy Cross operates under the auspices of the Office of Catholic Education of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. All schools in the Archdiocese admit students of any race, religion, sex, nationality, and ethnic origin with all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students in these schools.

To be considered a participating parishioner for tuition purposes, the family must provide:

  • Envelope number from St. Eleanor or Sacred Heart Parish
  • If the family is a member of another parish, a release from the pastor of their home parish.
  • Copy of a certificate of baptism from a Catholic church

Any family unable to provide the above documentation still is welcome to enroll at Holy Cross if space is available.

Students enrolling at Holy Cross must meet the following age requirements:

  • A child entering kindergarten must be five years of age on or before September 1 of the year in which he or she seeks admission
  • A child entering grade 1 must be six years of age on or before September 1 of the year in which he or she seeks admission

We offer open enrollment throughout the year if class space is available. Registration for the upcoming school year begins at the end of January for the next school year.

To enroll, use our online registration form or contact the main office. Registration is not complete until online enrollment information and all paperwork has been uploaded to the system, including the non-refundable $125 application fee per student. This fee helps offset the cost of religion books and other educational materials that cannot be purchased with government funds.

The following forms are required for each new student. As noted in the “enrollment criteria” section, families unable to provide parish verification are welcome to enroll if space is available.

  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of baptismal certificate
  • Parish verification form, obtained from your parish (if applicable)
  • Required health documents
  • Copy of custody agreement (if applicable)

Since most families stay at Holy Cross year after year, we employ a continuous enrollment approach that reduces time and paperwork required for re-registration. This method assumes that once enrolled, students will continue their education until graduation from eighth grade unless we are notified otherwise.

Each year in January, families will be notified of the upcoming tuition rates and fees for the next school year. The annual re-registration fee is applied through the FACTS billing account in February. If you will not continue at Holy Cross Regional Catholic School, we ask families to complete an opt-out form provided through the FACTS family portal.
