Villanova Nursing Students at Holy Cross Reginal Catholic School

Holy Cross Regional Catholic School has been privileged to host senior
nursing students from Villanova University this semester. The nursing
students focus on community health, striving to enhance the community's
well-being by promoting healthy behaviors and preventing disease. Under
the guidance of their clinical instructors, Kitty Hasson DNP, RN, and Teresa
Berkman MSN, RN, the nursing students engage with our students to
educate them about health promotion tailored to their learning levels.
On Wednesday, March 25, 2025, the Villanova University nursing students
visited kindergarteners for a Teddy Bear Clinic. Each kindergartener brought
a favorite stuffed animal to act as the patient in the clinic. The nursing
students discussed vaccines, healthy eating, handwashing, and caring for
bumps and scrapes. The nursing students and kindergarteners had a great
time pretending to give shots and applying band-aids to their stuffed
animals’ boo-boos.
